The paper tackles the issue of forming a basis intercultural competence for young learners. Considering fact that we live in globalized world and era communication technologies this is becoming more acute. It getting incredibly easy to explore other nations cultures either by travelling or using social media. This has greatly influenced foreign language teaching. goals are develop theoretical construct learners, analyze current English textbooks – both Russian authentic ones on matter knowledge, skills ,and abilities represented formed them, compare practical results research: What lacking? can be added? As research method, analysis academic literature used. Analyzing educational documents, theory socio-cultural developed Doctor Victoria Safonova M. Byram’s communication, I found out it needs specified result, learners developed. includes set skills, acquired practices, attitudes. Furthermore, might useful creating tasks developing learners’ competence. Second, textbooks, ones, were analyzed according attitudes them. Then author compared from with one searching areas where fully. possibilities teach suggests organizing cultural exchange between English-speaking students trough project work. Such work will allow deepen their knowledge practice observation comparing different cultures.
